Southwind Launches Into Lawn Care Industry with “DreamLawn - Powered By Holganix”

Southwind CEO Josh Herron announced earlier today during the Fall Summit that Southwind will be expanding its home services with the launch of DreamLawn, a lawn care company powered by cutting-edge technology from Holganix. With a focus on biology as the solution to soil and plant health, Holganix is continually pioneering new methods of incorporating soil microbes, microbe food and nutrient enhancers to build resilient plants and healthier soils.

Holganix CEO Barrett Ersek was in attendance at HQ to talk about the new company and the partnership with Southwind. “Our product is currently being used in over 700 golf courses, thousands of acres of farmland, and professional baseball and football stadiums,” said Ersek. “But now we are excited to partner with Southwind, the best home services organization that I have ever seen, and give them the exclusive right to use the Holganix technology and serve customers’ lawns for years to come.” The biggest difference between DreamLawn and any other lawn care company in the country is how the soil is treated. There are no pesticides or chemicals in any Holganix products, which drives deep web-like root systems and eliminates weeds. With the product being completely natural, the lawn is safe for pets and family, even immediately after being applied.

The first order of business is to serve the greater Kansas City area, where Jeff English will be tasked as the General Manager of the first ever DreamLawn company. Josh and the Southwind team plan to expand the business outside the Kansas City area, similar to their current companies of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? and You Move Me.

“At Southwind, we strive every day to be the most trusted name in home service,” CEO Josh Herron said. “When Tyler [Southwind CFO] and I started working on this 8 months ago, we knew that this would be a massive opportunity for everyone in the Southwind organization. The goal is to bring DreamLawn to every Southwind location, and I have never been more excited to launch something so revolutionary.”

Barrett Ersek also touched on the long-term vision for the company. “The vision is 200 “lawntrepreneurs” across all the locations that Southwind currently operates and grow DreamLawn exponentially in the next couple of years. If we could do that, we really would make a dramatic impact on the environment as a whole with our products and create a massive amount of opportunities for all Southwinders.”
